The results are in!!!

Remember two weeks ago when I was freaking out about an interview and wouldn't tell you what it was about?

It had something to do with:

The type of streets you just can't find in Canada.

A place called Amiens.......

Which just so happens, has the largest Notre Dame cathedral.....

....Amiens is also only an hour from the  Eiffel Tower.

It's always been a dream of mine to go to Europe.

And I'll be living and studying there, for a month this summer.

I'll get to visit both Paris and London and do awesome things like climb the Eiffel Tower, go to the Tower of London (torture devices rock!), and stroll along Kensington gardens.

Yeah, life is good.

Again, thank you for all your support with the interview, it helped me get through it and now....one of my dreams is coming true!

Do you have any good news to share? Have you ever studied abroad? Been to Europe? Where are some places I should look at going (in France or England)?

  1. YAY! Congrats!!!!

I've never studied abroad, but I did do this wild, crazy weekend in London with my best friend several years back and I WILL get back there some day.

It may sound like an incredibly cheesy, touristy thing to do, but you so need to check out the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. (Though I suggest you get there early and find a spot on the fountain across the street. It's the best angle to see it all. Oh and you MUST check out a show in the West End. I don't care what theater show it is, you just have to go there. It's like New York, but way cooler!

  3. Maybe we can meet up for coffee in Paris!!! How cool. Did you email me your address? You won the signed copy of Across the Universe? And, yes, I studied abroad in college--London. Now I'm just a broad living abroad.

  32. Say "hello" to both Paris and London for me.

Here's a challenge for you: try talking in French to a Parisian waiter and see how long it takes before he deigns to acknowledge your existence!

Suggestions for London: take a ride on the London underground, have a drink in a real pub, visit the science museum, St Paul's cathedral - and climb to the top, see if you can visit the Palace of Westminster (parliament)...what? You only have a month?

  33. Oh my goodness, that's freaking amazing!! How totally awesome! I moved back from the UK a year ago, and it was the most miserable experience having to leave it behind. I still miss it like crazy. Enjoy every moment of your time there! Take lots of pictures!

  34. I traveled extensively in Europe for work for a few years. It got really exhausting after a while but I'll always remember how beautiful and different those world class cities are. I miss Paris - thanks for sharing your photos and congratulations to you on this great opportunity!

  36. Wow! Congratulations!
In Paris, there is a small cathedral, in walking distance of Notre Dame, with a stained glass ceiling on the upper floor. I can't remember what it is called, but if you can find it, check it out.
In GB, go to Scotland, and Wales too, if you have time. Go to Edingburgh, Stonehenge, and Avebury (where you can get closer to the stones).

    Have fun!
