If pictures say a thousand words....

It's final project time now. My next month or so is going to be a study in sleep deprivation and working myself into a coma. But then I'm off. I can't decide whether I want time to speed up (so it can be over already) or slow down (so I can finish everything without killing myself - accidentally, of course). (Also, I probably won't be as good at getting to your blogs so I'm sorry and I still think your awesome but something has to give!)

So today, all I've got for you is this:

A collage of ********
(AKA pictures that remind me of My-Top-Secret-Fantasy-World)

Do you make collages or draw pictures?

Also, please let me live vicariously through you, What are your plans this weekend?

  1. No, I never draw. Okay, ya got me. I always draw or doodle or something...a collage here and there who knows but yes, I do. Weekend plans include writing the chapter I am dreading but am also excited about. Okay, not the one I am DREADING but the Society. Which can take me anywhere so that could be fun. Maybe some frisbee golf and the more likely scenerio: naps. Lots of naps. Still not over the bug.

GOOD LUCK and hang in there during the next three weeks. It will go faster than you think and then you can take a break and reward yoursel with SPN! <3333 You!

PS. I'll let you know how doc goes later on today

  2. I've taken to Googling pictures every now and then, nut no collages. I do think they're more helpful than what I do, though--everything is one place!

My weekend? Meh. Class tomorrow, homework. BUT critiquing and writing, too. So yeah, some good spots there :)

  8. I don't make collages or draw pictures really. I'd get too frustrated with the drawing part of it. :P I'm intrigued by your top secret world. Seems very naturey and beautiful!

Good luck on everything! If I were you, I'd wish for time to speed up so that it can all be over. Yeah, I'm totally about the pay-off at the end. :)

  10. That is quite the conundrum there, Lady M. If you speed it up and it's over can you have finished everything anyway? Slowing down for Saturday nights, of course!
;-) I'm glad we're doing your stuff this week. That will give you a bit of a break. But it's only one week and now I feel really bad. I'm stressed FOR you.

This weekend is rest for me. Wait until you hear my voice again. Only hopefully it will be better by tomorrow night!!

  11. Your Top-Secret-Fantasy-World is awesome... I just hope that I'm invited and I think it'd be important to only get in with a secret handshake and sparkle dust (i'll provide the sparkles).

I'm going to drive-in movies this evening! Tomorrow it's line edits, trash TV, and a shiny new idea (which I'll tell you about tomorrow on SKYPE)!!!!!

  15. I used to draw a lot, but lately it's just fun squiggles on my blog. I don't do collages, but I could see why you would. They are great for inspiration!

  16. Loves those pics! I have thought of doing stuff like this for my book, too.

This weekend, I am lobbing off my hair (or rather, getting someone to do it for me). And prob dyeing it. One of those hair existential crises, you know ;) Will post pics Monday.

  18. I love your top secret fantasy world! I'm planning on doing a little art next week. I haven't done any in a long time, but I'm feeling the need to paint. :) Hopefully something good will come of it.

    Good luck with your projects.

  21. I love making collages, and for the weekend . . . well, taking care of my sick hubby and going to worship, and planning for the week. Mostly restful stuff.

  22. I always have a scrapbook of sorts, pictures of characters, places, homes. For my current WIP, I drew up a floor plan of the house because knowing the layout was integral to some of the scenes. I'm a very visual person so it helps to have a frame of reference for my imagination.

Good luck with the final project!

  23. I don't draw much - not very good at it! When I stayed in res at university I used to make collages of all my photos, then laminate them (so they stayed all neat and tidy!) and stick them on my wall. (I still have some of them... stuck on the inside doors of my cupboards at home...)
